Anthony Kouroutsavouris

Born and raised in the harbor town of Piraeus, he grew to love the sea and answered the calling of the ocean by becoming a ship captain and travelled the blue waters of Europe. He committed to labor in the mainland when his first son was born. In spite of taking on different work in different industries, he has always kept his passion for the culinary arts, which he acquired from his beloved mother. His passion further grew in 1999 when he signed up for gastronomy seminars and attended integral schools such as "Chef D'oeuvre" in Athens and "Le Monde" while being trained at one of the best restaurants in Athens, "The 48", owned by renowned Chef, Christopher Peskia.

He established his own successful private catering in 2004 but did not stop learning as he expanded his skills by studying the craft of pastry under one of the best pastry chefs in Greece, Chef Stelios Stelios Parliaros.

Unfazed in a new country with different culture but armed with more than 12 years of Authentic Greek Cuisine and Pastry, Chef Anthony has established his own company El-Greco Ent. Phils. Corp. to take on the mission in promoting Authentic Greek Food and Wines in the Philippines and share its Authentic taste which was once can only be found in Greece.
At present, he is a quality assurance consultant on some well-known Greek and Mediterranean Restaurant and Chef Executive and at the same time Chef Instructor for his own training center specializing in Greek/Mediterranean Cuisine.

He is a Chef with intimate knowledge of flavor and a high level of understanding ingredients and cooking techniques whether it comes in a pinch of salt or to the kind of cheese to go with a certain dish or the ultimate mixer to their local wines and liqueur, for him should surpass Greek Traditional culinary and dining expressions; he does not cut corners, with techniques and ingredients and that made him a unique CHEF!
